Chef Stefan D. Czapalay
As a member of the culinary community, Stefan D. Czapalay has earned not only national acclaim but international recognition.
Through numerous competitions and promotions, he has been one of Canada's chefs helping to forge a new brand of Canadian cuisine. Always innovative and cutting edge, Stefan's passion for food has pushed him to develop strong theories on flavor sensibility and the seasonality of ingredients which he calls "Natural Order".
Stefan’s involvement in numerous research and development projects have taken him around the globe- consulting and yet always learning and growing from his interactions with chefs and the different ‘cultures of cuisine’ he encounters. Many of his products have been successfully marketed internationally. Stefan remains active in many charities- giving back and sharing through his culinary gifts.
Stefan is a member of the Research Chefs Association, the Canadian Culinary Federation, La Chaîne de Rôtisseurs, the Opimian Society and a charter member of Cuisines Canada.
Chef Stefan has been chief culinary consultant for Clearwater Seafoods for over the past 7 years and is a strong supporter of sustainable harvesting and wild caught seafood.
