At Sea - Our fleet is equipped with sophisticated habitat mapping and vessel monitoring systems that provide 24 hour tracking and ensure that only specified areas are being fished.
To the Shore
Our Plants - Stringent quality control practices are mandatory on our vessels and in our processing plants, all of which are HACCP certified or equivalent. Clearwater has implemented standards above the regulatory requirements as demonstrated by our internal Quality Management Audit team.
In the Marketplace
Our Supply Chain -We are constantly reviewing our practices in regard to product packaging and delivery systems to manage the impact of our operations on the environment.

MSC Certification
Clearwater is undertaking independent third party certification for sustainability in our fisheries.
In 2007, Clearwater’s Argentine operation became the first scallop fishery in the world to receive Marine Stewardship Council certification, and in 2008, the Canadian Northern Shrimp fishery became the first Canadian fishery.
As of March 2010, the Eastern Canadian offshore sea scallops fishery received MSC certification. Clearwater's Eastern Canadian offshore lobster fishery also received MSC certification as of June 2010 and Clearwater's clam fishery is currently in full assessment for MSC certification.
